President’s Message

Hi all you Cushman people,

Spring was wet with rain but we got the soaring ride in from St Charles Mo. to Portage Des Sioux, Mo. We wound around the back roads and had lunch in Portage. The ride was supposed to go from St Charles, Mo. to Hardin, Il. But with all the rain some of the roads to the ferry were flooded and the ferry was not running because the river was too high. There were 21 riders and it was a fun day. Thanks to Ron & Paul for getting this ride together.
The Arthur meet was a success. The early birds on Thursday went to Rockome Gardens for dinner. Friday there was a great ride to lake Shelbyville and back about 75 miles. As usual the hamburger cookout was really good on Friday night. Saturday there was a ride to see the cars and motorcycles and really neat stuff. Thanks to Don & Anita Revelle for organizing the Joe Lanckhoff Memorial Poker Run. Saturday evening catered meal was very good. Thanks to Marvin & Sherry Miller & Jerry Armstrong for fixing Sunday morning breakfast. Thanks to Ed & Cheryl Miller & Bob Weltig for a great meet. Thanks to all who helped with setting up and taking down the tables and chairs.

President
Bob Weidlich

2009 Arthur Meet will be May 28-31. Reason for the change from June 4-6 voted on at the meeting, we could not get the building.

This recipe dose not taste like zucchini. If you like custard pie, you should like this pie.

Zucchini Pie

1 cup zucchini peeled, cooked and drained
1 cup white sugar
2 T flour
1 1/2 T melted butter
1 cup evaporated milk
1 t vanilla
1 egg

Put everything in blender and mix all together. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with cinnamon and/or nutmeg on top. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake 30 more minutes.
